Steady leadership grounded in conservative values.
Every taxpayer dollar accounted for, managed with integrity.
The Treasurer is the county's banker. Between the day your property taxes are collected and the day they're distributed to schools and districts, that money sits in the county's care — and Colorado law says it must be invested with safety first, liquidity second, and yield third. Tim has spent his career making exactly these kinds of executive financial decisions.
Open books. Clear records. No surprises.
You shouldn't need to file a records request to find out what's happening with your money. The Treasurer's books belong to the people of Douglas County, and Tim believes the office should make it easy — not merely possible — to see where every dollar goes.
Serving the people of Douglas County — especially when it's hard.
Some of the Treasurer's most consequential work touches people at their most vulnerable: the annual tax lien sale for delinquent taxes, and the Public Trustee's role in foreclosures and releases of deeds of trust. These duties must be carried out firmly and by the book — but also fairly and with basic decency, because homes and livelihoods are on the line.
Well-managed money is what makes family amenities possible.
The Treasurer doesn't decide how tax dollars are spent — but sound collection, investment, and distribution is what makes it possible for the entities that do to deliver. On Castle Rock's Town Council, Tim has championed the parks, recreation, and community spaces that make this a great place to raise kids. As Treasurer, he'll make sure the financial foundation under those priorities is rock solid.
